Rheumatoid Arthritis

What is Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)?

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the joints, leading to pain, swelling, stiffness, and loss of movement. Unlike osteoarthritis, which is caused by wear and tear, RA occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy joint tissues.

Common Symptoms of RA:

💢 Joint pain, swelling, and stiffness (especially in hands, wrists, and knees).
🌄 Morning stiffness lasting more than 30 minutes.
♻️ Symmetrical joint pain – Affects both sides of the body.
😴 Fatigue, fever, and weight loss due to chronic inflammation.
🦵 Joint deformities in severe cases.
