What is Dysentery?

Dysentery is a severe intestinal infection that causes diarrhea with blood and mucus, along with abdominal pain and fever. It is usually caused by bacteria or parasites and spreads through contaminated food or water.


Types of Dysentery:

🦠 1. Bacillary Dysentery – Caused by Shigella bacteria (Shigellosis).
🦠 2. Amoebic Dysentery – Caused by Entamoeba histolytica (Amoebiasis).
